Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto thanked the Pasig City Council for approving the local government’s P17.2 billion 2024 budget, the biggest in its history.
Sotto said the city would use the funds for big improvements and more projects.
The city is more comfortable now with big-ticket projects, he said.
The major projects it plans to pursue in 2024 are the following:
1. Start of the City Hall Campus Redevelopment
2. Continuous Land Banking for IN-CITY Relocation
3. Financial Aid to Barangays
4. Automation of Flood Control System
5. Procurement of additional 15 Garbage Trucks for Collection by LGU administration
6. Refleeting of unserviceable city vehicles (100M)
7. Multipurpose Evacuation Center (2-storeys) with Basketball Court, Riverside Brgy Sta Lucia
8. Multipurpose Evacuation Center (2-storeys) with Basketball Court, Brgy Kapasigam
9. Multipurpose Evacuation Center (2-storeys) with Basketball Court, Brgy Sagad
10. New Health Center, E Santos Palatiw
Sotto also said that after the public bidding, he expects the project costs to be lower than what was budgeted.
