The Quezon City government and Department of Trade and Industry visited stores in the city to conduct a special price and supply monitoring of basic and prime commodities.
It was meant to ensure that the prices of the items have not risen.
The officials visited Landers Superstore at the UP Town center. They also checked out the items at Savemore Market Berkeley, The Marketplace Katipunan, True Value, and Merkado Supermarket.
DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo and DTI-Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau Director Fhilip Sawali joined Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, Councilor Banjo Pilar, QC Business Permits and Licensing Department Head Margarita Santos and Market Development and Administration Department Action Officer Pierangelo Dominguez in the inspection.
