The Office of the Building Official in Muntinlupa City reminded billboard operators that they would have to take down their advertising materials in preparation for the arrival of super typhoon Mawar.
“Dahil sa paparating na super typhoon MAWAR, ay amin pong pinaaalalahan ang lahat ng mga operator ng billboard sa ating Lungsod na ibaba ang kani-kanilang mga Billboards para sa kaligtasan ng lahat,” it said on Facebook.
It said all advertising materials and commercial billboards must be automatically taken down by the billboard operators after the release of a signal number 1 bulletin or any other significance weather disturbance by the weather bureau.
It also asked them to report if cracks or spalling are visible in the structures.
