Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano is happy that many of the city’s breast cancer patients have been able to recover.
In a Facebook post, Cayetano said Taguig has a high recovery rate for this disease.
This indicates that more residents have been getting the help they need through the city’s programs, she said.
“Ibig sabihin po nito ay tumataas din ang kaalaman ng ating mga kababayan sa presensya ng programa, kaya’t sila ay nakakapagpagamot,” she said.
She also attributed this to the contribution of the doctors and patient navigators who take care of the patients.
Meanwhile, the mayor said Taguig talked about its community-based breast cancer early detection and treatment program with members of the Union of International Cancer Control.
She also hopes to share this program with other local government units.
