QC gov’t eyes deployment of app vs gender-based violence in schools

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte is eyeing the deployment of an app in schools to help combat gender based violence.

Belmonte met with Red Dot Foundation Founder and CEO ElsaMarie D’Silva and Bayi Inc. Executive Director Maya Tamayo to discuss the city’s programs for women.

One of the things they talked about was the Safe City App, which helps people report gender-based violence. It was first launched in the Barangay UP Campus.

The Quezon City government aims to deploy the Safe City App in other schools to help protect its students.
