MMDA discusses plans to rescue informal settler families in Pasay

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will help the Department of Social Welfare and Development in relocating informal settler families in Pasay City to a safer place.

MMDA Acting Chair Don Artes discussed DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian’s course of action for the families with Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano.

Artes also promised to provide 18 body cameras to the DSWD for the rescue operations.

Moreover, the agency would deploy personnel from the MMDA Street Dwellers Care Unit to help the DSWD, the police, and the Pasay personnel in the rescue operations.
