Stay safe! NCRPO to deploy 4,600 police personnel for holy week

More police personnel will be out on the streets of Metro Manila for the holy week and during the summer to ensure that the public will be safe and secure during these times.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Edgar Alan Okubo said there would be maximum police presence throughout Metro Manila.

A total of 4, 690 policemen are ready to be deployed for anti-criminality operations, target hardening measures, traffic management/direction and control, and other related police public safety services.

Other government agencies would send their support personnel. These include the Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Special Action Force, Regional Highway Patrol Unit, Regional Maritime Unit, and Aviation Security Group.

Okubo said the public will definitely feel the presence of law enforcers, especially during the many activities scheduled for the coming weeks.

These include the Philippine Veterans Week, Araw ng Kagitingan, Lenten, Season, Labor Day, and Flores De Mayo, he said.

He also sought the public’s cooperation so that the Lenten and summer seasons would be safe.

“Let us help one another, immediately report information relative to security concerns which may come to your knowledge to the nearest Police Station or through NCRPO text hotline numbers 0915-888-9181 and 0999-901-8181. Public safety is everybody’s concern,” he said.
