The Caloocan City government has stepped up efforts to identify, treat, and prevent tuberculosis cases in the city.
The City Health Department conducted a Tuberculosis Awareness seminar for all barangay personnel.
The city government also directed the barangay personnel to encourage residents in the community to consult the City Health Department or the nearest health center if they have tuberculosis or symptoms of the disease.
Caloocan Mayor Along Malapitan also urged residents to cooperate with the program.
“Mga Batang Kankaloo, kaya po nating agapan ang sakit na TB. Kailangan lamang po na makipagtulungan kayo sa amin upang malunasan ito at mabigyan namin kayo ng karampatang patnubay para sa proteksyon ninyo at ng inyong pamilya,” Malapitan said on Facebook.
