Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna was happy to meet inventors from Manila who won awards in an international competition in Bangkok.
A total of nine students and teachers from the Timoteo Paez Integrated School in Tondo bagged 21 awards from four of their inventions during the 2023 Thailand Inventors’ Day and Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention and Exhibition Center.
Their inventions include an e-frontliner robot, an invention which uses human hair waste and other plastic waste to help in trash disposal problems, an automated mechanical ventilator, and a low-cost resilient interlocking wall block.
They showcased these devices at the event in Bangkok which gathered more than 470 promising inventions from 24 countries.
The Philippine representatives were Angela Mae B. Mojica, Marisol D. Payra, Vilma B. Mojica, Ma. Soccoro O. Lozano, Editha P. Gamboa, John Paul Ralloma, Roland Ralloma, William T. Chua, and Sonny D. Valenzuela.
