Angelu De Leon is using her influence to promote awareness on the plight of persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The actress now Pasig councilor hopes to open more minds to become more understanding of the day-to-day lives of people with special needs, as she supported their very own “special Olympics” coming up.
“People with disabilities in the Philippines need equal access to opportunities, resources and support, as well as respect and understanding from society,” the politiko said. “They need to be empowered to fully participate in the community and lead fulfilling lives.”
