National Capital Region Police Office chief Maj. Gen. Jonnel Estomo has expressed his support for the decision of the National Bureau of Investigation to file charges against police personnel tagged in the disappearance of four sabungeros.
Estomo had issued an order placing the police personnel under restrictive custody after the NBI started investigating them.
They remain under restriction inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, he said.
The NBI has since recommended charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention as well as violation of the Anti-Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance Act against them.
Estomo said the NCPRO is committed to the transform the organization and to clean up its ranks.
“Rest assured that we will cooperate in any phase of the investigation or court proceedings as the case progresses,” he said.
