LTFRB orders intensified drive vs colorum vehicles

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board will be intensifying efforts to crack down on colorum vehicles.

LTFRB Chair Teofilo Guadiz III directed regional directors to conduct more operations against vehicles illegally operating as public utility vehicles in Metro Manila.

Guadiz also advised the public not to patronize colorum vehicles to ensure that they would be safe and would be charged the proper fare.

Meanwhile, he reminded LTFRB law enforcers to make sure they look presentable while doing their duties.

He no longer wants to see enforcers wearing jeans and rubber shoes on duty, he said.

“The uniform will distinguish them from other law enforcement agencies. It will also give them a sense of honor and pride when they enforce laws against erring operators,” he said.
