The Makati City government not just hit its revenue target for 2022, it exceeded it as well.
The city government said its total revenue collection last year was P20.927 billion, which is 16 percent higher than the target.
Makati Mayor Abby Binay attributed this to higher business and real property taxes.
These also indicate the people and the business community’s solid trust and confidence in the city government, Binay said.
She said the continued financial stability of the city provides assurance that it would be able to deliver quality services to residents, and to pursue its plans to become a full-fledged smart city.
