Ruffy Biazon spoke up to reject how Albay Rep. Joey Salceda described the passage of the controversial Maharlika Wealth Fund as a direct order from President Bongbong Marcos.
“’Utos ng Pangulo’. Perhaps what was meant was ‘Request ng Pangulo.’ Co-equal branch of government, diba?,” said Biazon, a long-time congressman now Muntinlupa mayor.
The politiko expressed dismay at how the House appears to lose its independence especially over a controversial measure like this, which would put pension funds of Filipinos on the line.
