Valenzuela Mayor Wes Gatchalian has met with the driver who went viral after driving on an overpass in the city that is off limits to 4-wheel vehicles and heavy vehicles.
In a Facebook post, Gatchalian said the driver came to him to explain what happened.
He said the driver is new to driving and admitted making a mistake and vowed not to do it again.
He said he would get in touch with the Land Transportation Office to give the driver a refresher course.
He also ordered the installation of a sign on the overpass to warn other motorists against using it.
