San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora will celebrate his birthday by donating blood and asking others to do the same.
The activity will be held today at the San Juan gym.
Zamora invited city residents and all those who want to donate blood to join his annual birthday activity and help save lives.
“Ang dugo pong inyong ihahandog ay malaking tulong para makapagligtas ng buhay ng ating mga kapwa San Juaneñong labis na nangagailangan nito,” he said on Facebook.
Those who are in good health and between 18 to 65 years old could donate blood.
They must weigh at least 110 pounds and must not have traveled abroad in the last six months.
On the day of their blood donation, they must have gotten at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep and their blood pressure must be within the acceptable range.
They must also pass the physical and health history assessments.
Those who are able to donate blood will receive a bag of rice.
