Aspins welcome! Muntinlupa City govt calls for K-9 search and rescue volunteers

The Muntinlupa City government is calling on dog owners to volunteer for its K9 search and rescue operations.

The dogs don’t have to be of a particular breed. In fact, the city government said it would welcome aspins.

“Aspins are highly encouranged, preferably working dog breeds that can withstand the rigorous training,” it said on Facebook.

Interested applicants may send their forms and other application requirements until December 2.

These are the requirements:

1. Handler’s 1×1 photo attached on the form

2. Photo copy of 1 valid government issued ID with address

3. Photo copy of Covid-19 vaccination card or vaccination certificate

4. Photo copy of updated K9 Anti-Rabies certificate or vaccination card

5. Photo copy of K9 annual vaccination

These must be submitted to the Office of the City Veterinarian Muntinlupa City, 4th floor Annex Bldg., Muntinlupa City Hall.

Those who would qualify after the paper screening would undergo initial assessment, and if they pass, they would be included in the 16 to 20-week training that would begin in January.
