National Capital Region Police Office chief Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo commended personnel of the Southern Police District Medical and Dental Unit for helping a woman give birth in Pasay City.
Police trainees undertaking police visibility abilities had called the attention of the medical and dental unit that was then traveling along J.W. Diokno Boulevard in Pasay City to help the woman.
The medical personnel then helped deliver the healthy baby boy at the mother’s house, as there was no longer time to bring her to the hospital.
“I commend the immediate action of our law enforcers for their commendable action,” Estomo said.
He said this was a triumph for his S.A.F.E. NCRPO program, which includes the increased deployment of police personnel in public places to respond to emergencies.
“Asahan ninyo na ang mga pulis naninyong makikita sa daan ay inyong maaaasahan malalapitan at matatakbuhan tungo sa isang SAFE NCR,” he said.
