Marikina residents thank Mayor Marcy Teodoro for less flooding

Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro went around the city on Tuesday to check on its condition after the onslaught of super typhoon Karding, and received thanks from residents.

The heads of the different departments joined Teodoro, and they sought to ensure that the affected areas had been cleared, according to the Marikina public information office.

The Marikina PIO said residents had a positive reaction to the mayor.

The residents told Teodoro that even if the water level in the Marikina River rose and reached the third alarm, the floods they experienced were not as high as before.

They said the dredging conducted by the city government had helped.
