Manila Fire District warns public vs fake fire safety inspector
The Manila Fire District has warned the public against a person calling himself “Bimby” and posing as its fire safety inspector when visiting business establishments in the city.
This person wears the Bureau of Fire Protection uniform and has issued fake fire safety inspection certificates to business clients, it said.
Sr. Supt. Crossbee Gumowang, District Fire Direct, called on the public to report this individual to his office.
They may contact the mobile number 0966-476-9700 or telephone numbers 5309-9643, 5309-9648, and 5309-9645.
Gumowang also reminded the public that legitimate fire safety inspectors carrying out official business must present an inspection order signed by the Chief Fire Protection Branch and District or City Fire Director, and a proper identification card issued by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
They must also be wearing the complete official BFP uniform.
