Caloocan Councilor Alex Caralde is pushing for the approval of his co-sponsored ordinance that seeks to increase the number of security cameras in the city.
Caralde’s proposed ordinance seeks to require certain business establishments to install, operate, and maintain closed-circuit YV cameras.
Caralde said this is intended to improve security in the city and to protect the public.
“Layunin po nito ang mapalawig pa ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mamamayan at mabigyan ng kapanatagan para sa kanilang pamamasyal o pag uwi sa gabi dahil sa mga CCTV,” he said on Facebook.
The ordinance has been discussed at the committee level, and he is hoping for its approval, he said.
“Hiling ko na sana ito’y maaprubahan upang sa ikabubuti ng ating mga mamamayan,” he said.
