CAAP says it doesn’t solicit money, warns public vs individuals claiming to be to be from the agency

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has advised the public to be wary of individuals claiming to be from the agency and asking for money or goods.

CAAP does not engage in this kind of solicitation, it said.

“We are advising the general public that CAAP officials and personnel will never solicit goods, services, or money from any person or entity,” it said.

Any communication from CAAP would be coursed through officials channels, it said.

It issued the statement after receiving reports that some individuals engaged in this activity had claimed to be from CAAP.

It asked the public to report these incidents to the agecy.

“We urge the public to report to our office any activities relating to the above so that appropriate criminal charges may be filed against them, if applicable,” it said.
