Caloocan launches online payment system

The Caloocan City government has teamed up with GCash for an online payment system.

Caloocan Mayor Along Malapitan led the launch of the project, under which those transacting with the city government could pay their fees online at caloocancity.gov.ph.

The GCash payment service could be found under the Online Services-Assessments and Payments menu.

Malapitan said this aims to make payments more convenient and to encourage residents and businesses to pay their obligations.

He also said the online payment system would eliminate the need for residents to travel to city hall.

The city government said taxpayers could monitor their payments online through the transaction history window.

They could also register their new businesses and submit requirements online.
