128 Quezon City PDLs complete elementary and junior high school
Persons deprived of liberty in Quezon City have gotten the chance to continue and complete their elementary and high school education.
A total of 128 PDLs from the Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory recently graduated from elementary and junior high school under the Alternative Learning System program.
The graduation and moving up ceremony was held on Saturday.
The program was led by by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology QC Female Dorm and the ALS program of the QC Schools Division, in partnership with Mayor Joy Belmonte, the QC Gender and Development Council and the No Woman Left Behind Program.
The city government said the ALS is one of the opportunities available to those who want to continue studying to reach their dreams.
