The Department of Health has given the Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila the highest rating for COVID-19 response among local government unit hospitals in the National Capital Region.

The DOH’s Metro Manila Center for Health Development-Health Facility Development and Enhancement Unit gave the Sta. Ana Hospital a 97 out of 100 score, making it the top ranked medical facility in the region.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, a doctor herself, congratulated the hospital for its performance and thanked the DOH for the recognition.

The city would continue to strive to provide the best health service to its people, Lacuna said.

“Makakaasa po kayo na pagbubutihin pa po ng Manila LGU para magbigay ng quality service para sa ating mga Manilenyo,” she said.

Sta. Ana Hospital director Grace Padilla thanked the hospital staff, who she described as hard workers.

“Sta. Ana Hospital will continue to provide quality service for Manileños while continuing to adhere to the highest standards set by the national agency,” Padilla said.

The Sta. Ana Hospital received perfect scores of 20 for governance, 15 for quality measurement and improvement, and 10 for facility safety and ER management.

It received a score of 19 out of 20 for ethics rights and patient right, 19 out of 20 for patient safety, and 14 out of 15 for resource management.
