Makati, Korea sign deal for Smart Public Transport System in the city
Makati will be getting a new smart public transport system with help from South Korea.
The Makati City government and the Korea International Corporation Agency signed today the records of discussions for the establishment of this new system.
Makati Mayor Abby Binay said this project is part of the city government’s efforts to make Makati not just a smart city, but a green one as well.
Binay also said this endeavor could be replicated by other local governments.
Makati could be the proof of concept that the project could be done, she said.
“I hope this will be an inspiring project for other local governments and the city,” she said.
She also hoped for a more lasting relationship and a beautiful love story between Makati and KOICA, like the ones featured in popular Koreanovelas.
