Parañaque Rep. Edwin Olivarez vows continued infra and social services for the city
Parañaque Rep. Edwin Olivarez has assured his constituents that he would ensure the delivery of social services and infrastructure projects from the national government to the city now that he is a lawmaker.
Olivarez spoke at the city’s flag raising ceremony today and vowed to work closely with his brother, Mayor Eric Olivarez.
“We will continue to secure benefits for the people of the city through infrastructure projects like roads, flood control, multi-purpose halls and school buildings,” the lawmaker said.
“We shall also continue seeking social service funds for our hospitals and poor constituents,” he added.
He has been named chair of the Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization and vice chairman of the Committee on Metro Manila Development.
The Committee on Government enterprises and Privatization would play a key role in efforts to rightsize the bureaucracy and has jurisdiction over matters pertaining to government-owned and controlled corporations as well as economic zones, airport and port authorities.
