Muntinlupa sends team to help Abra
Muntinlupa City has lent a helping hand to Abra province after it was badly affected by the strong temblor that struck Wednesday morning.
Muntinupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon sent off the Muntinlupa K9 Search and Rescue Volunteers who were going to Abra to help in search and rescue efforts in collapsed buildings and areas with landslides.
The city government also provided a vehicle to the group.
“Sa mga ganitong sitwasyon, nag-aassist ang ating K9 teams saan man sila kailanganin. Sa Pacwood, Tunasan, ginaganap ang mga trainings ng grupo sa pangunguna ng Office of the Veterinarian,” Biazon said.
He said the deployment of rescue dogs during earthquakes is vital as they can help a lot in locating survivors.
He asked Muntinlupa residents to wish the team well and to prat for their safety, and to pray as well for those affected by the earthquake.
