The LRT-2 and MRT-3 administrations temporarily halted their railway operations following a massive earthquake that was felt in Metro Manila Wednesday morning.
In an advisory on Facebook, the LRT-2 administration said it temporarily halted operations to ensure the safety of passengers.
Its engineering, maintenance, and safety and security teams are currently conducting inspection to assess the integrity of its structures, it said.
“Pls standby for further updates,” it said.
The MRT-3 also said its trains were advised to stop after the temblor.
Its facilities and systems are being assessed, it said.
“Please be safe,” it added.
Initial reports said the earthquake had a magnitude if 7.3 and struck in Lagangilang, Abra.
