Las Piñas provides free chest x-rays to city residents
The Las Piñas government has brought free chest x-ray services to the city’s different barangays to screen for tuberculosis.
A total of 1,300 residents have availed themselves of the free chest x-ray service so far.
The deployment of the mobile chest x-ray was led by the Las Piñas City Health Office, and was in coordination with the Phillipine Business for Social Progress.
“Ang proyektong ito ay daan narin para sa tuberculosis screening thru active case finding na ikinasa ng LPCHO upang malaman ang mga lagay ng kalusugan ng residente sa usaping TB,” the city government said on Monday.
It also conducted sputum examinations on those who tested positive for tuberculosis.
The patients were likewise referred to the barangay health center.
The mobile x-ray would continue to be deployed around the city.
