Under this initiative, Meralco will scholar the students’ tuition, laptop, internet expenses, books and other miscellaneous fees for the duration of their medical school studies, which will last for five years.

The Pasig City government will shoulder other recurring fees.

The four scholars are:

-Alyssa from Pinagbuhatan, who graduated from the Pasig City Science High School and earned her degree from Ateneo de Manila, where she was a scholar.

-Deo from Bagong Ilog who graduated from the Pasig Catholic College and who graduated magna cum laude from the Central Luzon State University.

-Hannah Ruth from Ugong who graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

-Juan Antonio from Napico Manggagan, who graduated from the Pasig City Science High School and who is graduating from Ateneo as a scholar.

Sotto thanked the city’s partners for this project.
