Stella Quimbo is serious about getting the job done as soon as possible.

The Marikina congresswoman already got her priority bills filed on June 30, the start of her new term in Batasan.

The bills include a social health insurance crisis act, a proposed law to develop the local footwear and leather goods industry — a nod to Marikina — a flood management strategy, and even changes to the oil deregulation law plus the suspension of fuel excise tax during crisis periods.

“Filed my 10 priority bills today for the 19th Congress. These measures are geared towards economic recovery, building more efficient systems for social protection & healthcare and disaster prevention,” the politiko said. “Will do my best to ensure the enactment of these bills. Para sa bayan!”
