Pasig City stops practice of naming govt buildings after incumbent officials
It looks like there will be no Vico Sotto building in Pasig City anytime soon.
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said the city has bid goodbye to the practice of naming government buildings after incumbent politicians.
Sotto bared this policy as the city inaugurated the new Jovito Salonga Building in the Pasig Elementary School.
New government buildings in the city are now being named after prominent Pasig residents who have passed away for at least 10 years, he said.
“Goodbye to the old practice of naming buildings after incumbent politicians,” he said on Facebook.
He said the names of other new school buildings would be announced on Pasig Day.
