Pasig City is one of six local governments in Metro Manila that passed the standards for Good Financial Housekeeping of the Department of the Interior and Local Government for 2021.

Mayor Vico Sotto is very happy about the Good Financial Housekeeping award, which is given in recognition of a local government’s performance in the areas of financial transparency and fiscal accountability.

“We are very proud of this! Salamat sa mga masisipag nating kawani ng LGU,” he said.

But he said Pasig City was not likely to get the Seal of Good Local Governance for 2021.

It passed most indicators, but some of the city’s funds were underutilized, he said.

But he is not too worried about this issue.

“A good problem to have– because of our LGU cleanup, we saved a lot; now we work on using these extra funds,” he said.
