NCRPO reports peaceful celebration of Independence Day in Metro Manila
No untoward incident marred the celebration of the country’s 124th Independence Day, according to the National Capital Region Police Office.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad acknowledged the effort of the Metro Manila police personnel and the cooperation of the people to keep the day peacefui.
“Foremost, I would like to thank our citizenry for their cooperation which led to the peaceful celebration of the 124th Independence Day. I also would like to commend our men for their unwavering effort in rendering their duty and keeping our areas of responsibility safe and secured during the celebration,” Natividad said.
He noted that the programs to mark the anniversary of the country’s independence went off without a hitch.
Local governments and public and private organizations joined the celebration through the simultaneous conduct of the flag-raising ceremony.
The Dolomite Beach in Manila was also opened to the public
