Taguig to open off-road bike trail on June 4 and 5 for World Bicycle Day
The Taguig City government is giving cyclists a treat by opening the Taguig Bike Trail on June 4 and 5.
This is the city’s first off-road bicycle trail and is located along C-6 road.
The trail will be open from 5:30 am to 9:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
It has ramps, turns, and straights for cyclists who seek a bit of adventure, the Taguig City government said.
But it is also open to beginners as well, it added.
It advised cyclists to take precautions, such as using the proper bikes and wearing helmets.
“For your safety and convenience, we HIGHLY recommend the use of mountain and gravel bikes for the track and helmets are required to enter,” it said on Facebook.
It also vowed to pursue programs to promote the use of bicycles.
“The local government continues to develop comprehensive programs that emphasize biking as an essential mode of transportation and its vital health benefits,” it said.
