Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon says Boracay doing better, but still has room for improvement
Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon went to Boracay for a quick break after the elections, and he shared his thoughts about the rehabilitation of the world-famous island.
Biazon said he last visited Boracay in 2015, and he saw how it has improved after it was closed for redevelopment in 2018.
“I must say the rehab indeed helped,” he said on Twitter.
But he also said the next Department of Tourism Secretary should do more to preserve the gains from the rehabilitation.
One of the things that could be improved is the arrival process, he said.
“But more work needs to be done by the new DOT Sec so the rehab wont be in vain. Begin with the arrival experience of the island’s visitors,” he said.
Just came from a vacation in Boracay. My last visit was in 2015. I must say the rehab indeed helped. But more work needs to be done by the new DOT Sec so the rehab wont be in vain. Begin with the arrival experience of the island’s visitors.
