Close to 100 percent of Metro Manila cops fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
Nearly all of the personnel of the National Capital Region Police Office are fully vaccinated against COVID 19.
This means NCRPO personnel have adequate health protection as they carry out their duties of maintaining peace and order and providing security, according to its chief Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad.
As of May 29, a total of 23,383 NCRPO personnel, or 99.78 percent of its police population, have been fully vaccinated.
Another 16 personnel are just waiting to receive their second dose in the coming weeks, while 36 remain unvaccinated due to medical conditions.
A total of 23, 215 personnel have also received their booster shots.
The NCRPO also said that among its 7,865 personnel who got infected with COVID-19, 99.72 percent recovered.
As of May 29, it has no active COVID-19 case.
Natividad has directed NCRPO personnel to continue observing measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
He also reminded them to prioritize the health of Metro Manila policemen to protect the community.
“Ang lakas ng NCRPO ay nanggagaling sa ating mga kapulisan kung kaya’t ginagawa namin ang lahat upang sila ay maprotektahan sa kalabang hindi natin nakikita upang patuloy din naming maprotekhan ang ating mamamayan,” he said.
