Now that the elections are over, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority would like public places to be cleared of campaign materials.

And it called on the public for help.

“Ngayong tapos na ang halalan, hawakan na ang mga walis at dustpan dahil oras na para maglinis!” the MMDA said on Facebook.

It appealed to people to remove posters, stickers and tarpaulins from walls and to dispose of these properly so as not to cause pollution.

People should support the environment in the same way that they supported candidates, it said.
