Duterte says soldiers ‘matitino’ versus cops

President Rodrigo Duterte thinks that soldiers are more disciplined than policemen.
Military personnel cannot go out of their camps unless they are authorized to do so, Duterte said in a speech delivered in Sta. Cruz, Manila Wednesday.
“Alam mo itong mga military, matitino ito. Alam mo kung bakit? Hindi nakakalabas ng kampo ‘yan,” he explained.
Police officers, on one hand, have law enforcement duties, which they fail to carry out at times.
“They go out and enforce the law. Kaya ‘yan ang problema natin. Enforcing the law because you have the discretion not to enforce the law,” the President said, adding that some of these “idiots” are involved in the illegal drug trade.
