Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) president Bishop Pablo Virgilio David lauded Wanna Ver, the daughter of Gen. Fabian Ver who is the most trusted military officer of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, for acknowledging the wrongs done during the martial law era.

The bishop pointed out in his Facbook post that Wanna “did the right thing.”

“She broke the spell of wickedness in her own generation by acknowledging the sins of the previous generation which she had benefitted from,” David said.

The prelate assured that it is “never too late for many others whose crimes are known well by God.”

“Please, do yourselves a favor while there is still time,” the bishop urged.
