QC Councilor Marivic Co-Pilar files NBI complaint vs Facebook pages spreading fake news

Quezon City Councilor Marivic Co-Pilar has taken legal action against the Facebook page making defamatory claims about her.
Pilar said she has filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation’s cybercrime division.
“As you seek for the truth so do I.. Filing a case at NBI Cybercrime Division,” she said in a Facebook post.
She earlier warned that she would bring the matter to the NBI and that she has a lead about the perpetrators behind the efforts to discredit her.
Her lawyer had also written to Facebook to ask that the pages spreading fake news about her be taken down.
