Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo seeks DTI help for local businesses
Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo has sought support from the Department of Trade and Industry to help the start-up businesses in her city to grow and thrive.
Quimbo met with DTI Sec. Ramon Lopez and Marikina shoemakers George Andres, Tony Py, and Noel Evangelista on Tuesday to discuss her proposal to put up a five-storey Incubator Facility at the DTI Center for Innovation and Technology Enterprise.
“Ang pasilidad na ito ay malaking tulong sa mga start-up businesses ng Marikina para maka-access sa mga tulong galing sa gobyerno at iba’t ibang equipment na mailalagay dito,” according to Quimbo’s Facebook page.
Quimbo, whose own shoemaking business suffered during the pandemic, wants to use her knowledge to help the start-up businesses, it said.
