Pwede i-bash! Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor meets with QC Hall workers, says he’s open to criticism
Anakalusugan Rep. and Quezon City mayoralty candidate Mike Defensor met with Quezon City Hall employees and laid out his plans and policies should he be elected the city’s next leader.
Defensor was joined by his running mate Winnie Castelo during the meeting on Monday.
Defensor said he would be open to criticism from residents of Quezon City.
It is within their right to call out the mayor if the latter is not performing properly, he said.
“Kahit ako ay pwede ninyong punahin hindi sasama loob ko, hindi ako magdedemanda ng libel. Karapatan ho ninyo ito, bilang taga-QC,” he said on Facebook.
He also said the people of Quezon City should benefit from taxes collected by the city.
The city’s funds should be used to provide free medicine and education, provide housing to residents, and provide assistance to those affected by the pandemic, he said.
These should also be used to care for senior citizens and help businesses, he said.
