Mandaluyong City policeman jumps into Pasig River to save a teenager
A Mandaluyong City policeman has earned praise for jumping into the Pasig River to save a teenager who leaped from the Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge.
The girl’s leap and her rescue by Police Corporal Bernard Miguel on April 16 was caught on video.
Miguel did not hesitate to go after the girl to save her, the Mandaluyong police said on Facebook.
Miguel’s police buddy Police Corporal Alex Zesar called a medic to help revive the girl, it said.
Mabuhay ang lahing kayumanggi!” it said.
