Ruffy Biazon irked as pet SIM registration bill gets vetoed. Here’s why

Ruffy Biazon is exasperated with the president’s veto of the SIM Card Registration Bill for a reason that was completely out of his control.

The Muntinlupa congressman has long been pushing for the measure, which is seen to deter text fraud and deter other crimes.

“I first pushed for the sim card reg bill in the 13th congress, refiled it again & again, until 18th congress approved it. Frustrating for it to be vetoed because of a rider inserted by the bicam,” the politiko said, referring to the inserted provision requiring one registered mobile number per social media account.

“The sim card reg bill veto highlights the need to put clarity in the rules of the bicam conference that it should only reconcile differences between senate & house versions of a bill and not introduce new provisions,” he added.

Epic fail!
