Passport woes? Makati City to host passport on wheels
Getting a coveted passport appointment with the Department of Foreign Affairs can feel like an olympic sport these days, but the Makati City government has come to the aid of its residents.
The city government announced on Saturday that the DFA would hold a Passport on Wheels activity on June 9 at the Pobalacion covered court for those who want to apply for or renew their travel document.
Interested applicants could reserve their slots online on April 11, from 9 am to 2 pm.
Only the first 700 applicants would be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Applicants should register through these links:
District 1: https://forms.gle/4hJB18mwVWeDCSF89
District 2: https://forms.gle/diJANWsUo5ATyPvx6
Once they have registered, they should wait for the text message from the IRD desk setting the date of their appointment there.
They should then download and fill out the application form, prepare their requirements, and bring these to the IRD desk for screening and encoding.
They should then wait for the payment reference number from the DFA, pay the fee, and wait for the DFA email with their appointment schedule and passport packet.
On the day of their DFA appointment, they should head to the Barangay Poblacion covered court for data capturing.
They would need their application form and their documentary requirements, their passport packet, receipt, P150 delivery fee, and a black ballpen.
Their passport would be delivered in 15 days.
