Never too late: Vico Sotto says Pasig LGU compensating owners for land taken in ‘90s
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto continues to clean up the local government by correcting bad practices that had been in place even before he assumed office in 2019.
Continuing with his Facebook diary of the campaign period, Sotto shared on Friday, April 7, that the city government recently started paying owners of land that it took in the ‘90s without compensation.
Sotto shared a photo of a notice sent by the government to a property owner, which appraised the property taken by the local government unit to have a value of P16,500 per square meter.
The notice said payment will be made to the property owner upon the submission of certain documentary requirements.
