“We are passionate about our anti-cervical cancer and anti-breast cancer programs na gusto nating ma-expand nang husto sa iba’t ibang dako ng bansa,” the lad solon said.

Aside from its cervical and breast cancer screening programs, the city government conducts thrice-weekly Taguig Love Caravans which provide laboratory services, medical and dental check-ups, and basic medicines directly to residents.

Cayetano also underscored the need to empower women by ensuring safe spaces for them and supporting entrepreneurs.

“Marami po ang mga kababaihan na hindi makaalis sa mga mapang-abusong relasyon dahil po hindi sila financially independent, kaya ang pagtulong po sa kanila at sa kanilang kabuhayan ay napakahalaga din,” she added.

Taguig city government is maintaining the Bahay Pag-asa and Taguig Lingap Center, which serve as shelters for distressed women and youth, and has a Hotline for Child and Youth Welfare and Protection.
