Stella Quimbo pines for a freer and more gender-equal Philippine society.

The Marikina congresswoman bared her dream on International Women’s Day, hoping more ladies become as empowered.

“We will always strive for a world where gender is not a barrier. We have a long way to go but we can do it. Happy Women’s month, kapwa ko babae!,” the politiko said.

Her guiding principle comes from her parents: “Pinalaki kami na wala kaming kinikilalang balakid sa pagiging babae.”
